These forests are known to many as a place where mares simply vanish when they step here. In fact, they do not vanish, but are instead taken by force to distant lands.

The Black lake is, contrary to its name, not a lake, but a waterfall that runs down in the middle of a forest. This forest seems to give off an unforgiving aura as one steps into this place.

As the name states, the canyon floor is covered by blood. Blood from fights and other unsavoury activities. There's a sign outside the mouth of this canyon, put by literate horses long ago, but still legible. BEWARE.

Cliffs surround this little stretch of beach, and the caves that dot the cliffs themselves are small and many, making it the perfect place for a new born foal to play around for a few days after birth.

Birthing

So named as many horses lost their lives here, during the War. The three alliances fought here, before the truce finally stopped the war. Now, this place is for horses to sort out their differences.

Fighting

What seems like a castle floating in mid-air is, in reality, a castle situated on a high mountain, the middle of the mountain covered in fog and mist. Giving off a eerie feeling, nevertheless this is the residing place of the Lord and Lady of Light.

The trees here sparkle with a brilliant light as though they are made of crystal. The leaves seem so brittle that they would break at a single touch of a feather. The birds here sing with a brilliant voice as the sun comes up and goes down.

This cave and the woods outside give the herd living here all the sustenance they'll need for life. The cave is lined with beautiful opal that glitters as one enters the cave. The forest is forever surrounded by mist, and you have to be careful. One who has lived here for life will be able to find their way around this place.

The weather here is always stormy. Occasionally, but this is very rare, the storms will stop, and the sun peaks through the dark clouds. There is a large cave here, which shelters travellers and citizens alike from the torrential thunder and lightning. But the storm dare not harm the herd living here, so they can live here in peace.

The Misty Mountains are covered by mist and fog for much of he year. For the few days that they aren't, the clouds cover the sun and moon, making sure no light can pass through to hit the mountainside. There is a passageway through these mountains, but it hasn't been used for years. Not since the herd residing here killed the last traveller brave enough to venture into these mountains.

Despite the name there aren't a lot of palm trees here. The majority of the trees are, in fact, are twisted into strange shapes, some looking like a bent blade fo grass, others looking like deformed rocks.

This place is, literally, inside a volcano. The volcano has a little cavern inside which protects those living here from the heat of the magma. The path which leads to the cavern is surrounded by magma.

Situated along a fault, this place is in constant winter. The wind cuts at you like knives thrown at record speeds, the trees here have lost all their leaves (and are unlikely to get them back), and the lake is frozen, creating an ice-skating paradise. But the herd here has no use for it, except maybe for the occasional foal who loves to skate. There is a cave here that offers shelter from the ever falling snow and sharp winds.

So named since the most violent herd used to live here (and still do). The river through the woods run with a red tint, the blood of those slaughtered here. Even the leaves of the trees here are coloured red.
