The Bleeding Tree

The year is 2157.

The world has been changed. Almost one hundred and twenty years ago, a massive war broke out in Europe and spread across the entire world. This war was to be later called World War IV: The End War. The face of the earth itself was changed by the war; many plants became extinct, most animals died out. Radiation hangs in the atmosphere like a cloud of poison ready to fall down to earth.

There are very few humans still living. They had clustered in small colonies in safe lands around the earth. They estimate that there are less than twenty thousand humans still alive today. Those who do still live are diseased. People are scared.

Our story begins in a small town in Romania, where a larger colony of people live and try to survive. They have numerous buildings in which they live and a few supplies left. The legend of a mother and daughter who had lived here before is the most popular of many stories. The larger town of Nenoroci is where most live, and Profetica is where people go to buy things. However, to get to Profetica, you must go through the Barrens, a dangerous place.

This is your new world. Do you think you can survive this land? Welcome to Nenoroci, Romania, year 2157.
